“My recent show of watercolours are coastlines from Halifax, Lunenburg and Queens counties.
The paintings of these areas are a result of many hikes with camera and sketchbook in hand. My interest in natural landscapes remains unabated since my previous show of the Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct in 2006. It is a theme I see continuing into the future as one feels a need to record or pay homage to wild spaces.
For me it is in these natural places that I find my connection to my own nature and thus myself.”
