Dory ShopIn the heart of Nova Scotia's Bluenose Coast lies Lunenburg. A town steeped in the traditions of the past yet so very vibrant and alive. A stroll through "Old Town" Lunenburg engages the senses in a manner not easily found in the modern age.

A seafaring legacy of "wooden ships and iron men" has carried Lunenburg's fame to distant ports of call. A tradition which continues to this day.

Boscawen InnOn Lunenburg’s working waterfront you can still hear the ring of the blacksmith's hammer, see Tallships at anchor, (including the famous Bluenose ll when in port) and see traditional skills being plied. The Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic is a must-see with many hands-on interpretive displays!

Those with an appreciation of architecture will find the town resplendent with the works of master craftsmen and the "Lunenburg Bump" is renowned. Most can be appreciated from a simple stroll through town or from an inspiring, guided tour.  Lunenburg was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in recognition of it’s carefully preserved “Old Town” district.
