Visitor Centre

The Lunenburg Visitor Information Centre is located at the top of Blockhouse Hill Road.  Hours of operation are:

May & Oct 9am-6pm
June & Sept 9am-7pm
July & Aug 9am-8pm

The LBOT office entrance is at the rear of the building, located upstairs.

The visitor information centre is a replica of a blockhouse which was the first building constructed when settlers arrived in Lunenburg. It commands a panoramic view of both harbours and Old Town.

Our knowledgeable Travel Counsellors will help you with in-depth local information, travel advice, maps, brochures and reservations.

You will also find Heritage Interpretive Panels located throughout the town. These describe a number of Lunenburg's attractions including the area's five historic churches, its UNESCO World Heritage designation, and town architecture.
