Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of one of the greatest composers of all time with world-class performances at the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance.
This year, we’re devoting the majority of our year to intensive studies of the interpretation and performance of works by Ludwig van Beethoven. And we’ll be hosting incredible concerts featuring top artists like the Dover Quartet, violinist Martin Beaver (first violin, Tokyo String Quartet), cellist Adrian Brendel, pianist Walter Delahunt, the Verona Quartet and contrabassist Joel Quarrington, as well as some of the top emerging artists of our time, in not-to-be-missed performances, including complete cycles of:
The Piano Trios and Variations (March 29, April 1 and 3)
The String Quartets, Trios and Quintets (May 19, 21, 23, 24, 26-29)
The Violin Sonatas (Oct 4-18)
The Cello Sonatas (Oct 4-18)
Miscellaneous Piano and Variations (Oct 7-18)
The Piano Sonatas (Oct 20 – Nov 4)
Tickets to these concerts begin at $25 per person with special rates to take in the complete cycles. For instance, you can take in the eight concert series comprised of the complete string quartets – one of the most important collections in music history – as performed by the Banff International sweeping Dover Quartet, plus the trios and quintets as performance by this year’s Cleveland Quartet Award winner, the Verona Quartet, for $245 per person. This pass also includes admission to special talks and film events, plus your invitation to an exclusive Meet the Artists reception.
